Pumpkin Patch

Our good friends Chris and Brittany were in town this weekend so we all decided to go to a pumpkin patch together on Saturday. There is a local winery that does a pumpkin patch that Brittany used to go to as a kid, so we decided on the one. It was a beautiful day and a fun time with the kids. It was so fun to see Grace (their baby girl) who is the same age as Jase was last year do similar things that Jase did last year at the pumpkin patch, mainly be obsessed with the hay! This year Jase had a great time running around, "playing" Bocci Ball with the boys and kissing Grace!

We didn't get any pumpkins unfortunately, but we're planning on going to a pumpkin patch again soon to pick out some good pumpkins!

Notre Dame Football Game

Scotts cousin graduated from Notre Dame a couple years ago and ever since their family like to go to football games every year. Scotts Aunt and Uncle are nice enough to offer an invitation for us to come to a game and Scotts parents are nice enough to help us get there! It was a hard trip to say no to. This trip would be the first trip for me to leave Jase overnight. My parents jumped at the fact that they got to watch Jase and spend the weekend with him. We are so lucky to have great family!

Scott and I flew out Friday and met his brother and our sister in law at the airport in Chicago and drove to South Bend together that night. It was a long day, but everyone got there safe. We woke up the next mooring and had plans to walk the campus and go to the BookStore to shop before the game, but it was raining.

Instead of walking to the book store, Scotts mom drove us and we walked campus quickly before the game in our ponchos. It was kind of a bummer to not be able to get pictures of the campus, but I have the memory.

The game was good. Notre Dame won, however, my sister in law and I left at half time to get out of the rain and watch the remainder of the game at the condo. I'd say a good choice on our part. I stayed long enough to have a hot dog and some hot chocolate!

We left bad home early Sunday morning and made it back home by 2:00PM. It was a FAST trip but a fun trip. Hopefully we can go back again sometime when the weather is much better and get some pictures! For now at least we got a family one!

Funderland and Fairytale Town

A couple weekends ago we went with our neighbors and their kids to the two small parks by the Sacramento Zoo, Funderland and Fairtale Town. I had been to the Zoo with Jase a couple times but not to the other parks. I was excited to see what they had to offer.

Fairytale Town has some animals to see, story time and lots of structures to climb on and slides to slide. It was a great place to let the kids run somewhat freely.

Funderland has carnival type rides for the kids. You just bought how many tickets you wanted and each ride cost you one ticket per person. They had a couple rides that Jase could ride alone, but he didn't seem to like being alone. The rest of the time we opted for rides we could go wit him on and they had plenty.

It was a fun morning and a great place to take kids. Thanks to our neighbors for inviting us along!
