Jase: First Christmas

Our family had a WONDERFUL Christmas celebrating with Jase this year. By far THE BEST Christmas I've had. I can't believe how much as happened in a month. We bought a house (there will be a blog about that later), moved and hosted Christmas.

My mom and dad came up before Christmas to help with the house and watch Jase. With my mom on Jase duty I was able to decorate for Christmas and get everything ready for guests. Scotts Family & the grandmas came up Christmas Eve; it was so nice to have a big family dinner together. We did miss my brothers this year though.

Of course Jase coaxed the grandmas into letting him open a gift Christmas Eve. I think he was much more interested in all the wrapping then what was under the wrapping. We had such a great time watching him open gifts. I know he didn't understand Christmas this year, but still fun to watch. I'm still unsure about Scott, but I know I had a great time playing Santa. Our first, of many, years staying up and putting toys together!

As you can probably tell from the picture above, I was doing it wrong. Uncle Mark stepped in and saved the night! Of course with the help of the onlooking grandmas and great grandmas!

Miss Abby is THREE!

How is it that anther year has already gone by? I remember taking Abby for a fun day out last year on her birthday! In fact I can spot the toy she picked out last year right now! Abbys human brother is being a grump today so we will have to do a fun day tomorrow or Sunday for Abby. In the mean time here's a look back, a Year of Abby!

Happy Happy Birthday, Abby, We love you so very much!

Milestones

I felt the need to document that this morning was the first time Jase showed emotion to his daddy leaving for work. As sad as it was, it warmed my heart that my little boy loves his daddy so much he didn't want him to leave. He has been showing excitement when Scott comes home for a while now, but the sadness when he left this morning both broke my heart and made it warm all at the same time.

Thanksgiving 2013: So Much to be Thankful For

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love fall time so much and love that it means family gatherings. We have been so lucky to get my side of the family and Scotts side together for, I think, five years now. It's so great to have everyone under the same roof and not worry about family members having to depart early to go else wear. We truly are blessed. This year my brother and sister in law, Mark and Melissa, hosted everyone at their house due to Scotts parents being in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Hard to cook in a kitchen with no appliances ;-).

Jases 1st Thanksgiving went well. Everything turned out great and it seemed everyone had a great time! We did miss Scotts Grandma Jones as she stayed up North this year.

7 Months & Halloween

I'm a tad bit late on this post, but as it always seems, we're busy! Halloween came and went and then it was off to Fresno for a couple days, then off to Reno for a couple days and finally I have a moment to blog!

This Halloween was so much fun having a baby around. Since Jase was too little to Trick or Treat we handed out candy on the porch. Against my husbands wishes, I dressed Jase up as a pumpkin this year. Scott didn't want me to dress him up at all, but I think he knew I was going to do what I wanted. For some reason I was really stuck on the idea that every baby should be a pumpkin at least once! I was lucky to find an outfit at Target that was sized 0-24 months so hopefully we can use the same outfit for the next child for their first Halloween. Maybe a small tradition for our little family!

I decided to also do Jases 7 Month photos on Halloween as well to take advantage of documenting his cuteness. I used some of my Halloween decorations to set up a little backdrop and we had some fun!
