Thanksgiving, Baby Bozzo & More

What a busy Thanksgiving week we had! Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE Holiday by far. This was the fourth year that we were able to spend it with both families! My mother in law, Ann, was gracious enough to host this year since Scott and I no longer live in Fresno. A great thing about having everyone together is all the yummy food, everyone has their dish they love to make and bring. Yummy! Aside from the food Scott and I always love spending time with our siblings and parents. The boys had a intense game of Potty Chairs going on and the girls spent time chatting by the fire pit.

Along with the normal Thanksgiving stuff, Scott and I were announcing the sex of Baby Bozzo! I usually make Scott a Gluten Free dessert for holidays so I thought I would incorporate the sex of the baby into what I made. Cupcakes are always easy for travel and leftovers for Scott, so I decided to stuff them with either pink or blue. We had the moms do the revealing! Another great moment to see their faces light up!

After Thanksgiving we headed to Tahoe to visit Chris and Brittany at her aunts cabin. It was a last minute trip, but oh so worth it. We watched TV, shopped and tried to find snow!

19 Weeks & Movement

I have been a slacker on taking pictures every two weeks... forgive me!

Baby has been on the move this last week... literally. I have been feeling slight movements for the last two-three weeks, but it hadn't been strong enough for me to know for sure. It all became much more noticeable and undeniable last Wednesday. I woke up feeling good and well rested after our long travel day and was ready to run some errands and unpack. Little did I know I would be out for the count by about 10AM and not get anything done. In the baby/magazines/apps I have been reading, I have read a lot about Round Ligament Pain. Basically a ligament that runs up the side of your uterus that stretches as you do and can sometimes be painful. Now, from everything I've read this is something that happens over time, NOT in my case!!

So, as I'm watching Kelly and Michael in the morning I get up for a pee break and literally mid pee (sorry TMI) I got a shooting pain on my right side. As I left the bathroom I could hardly walk. I sat back on the couch and thought, ok, this is the ligament pain I have read about, it should subside by just resting after a couple of minutes.

Not the case, I was in pain and sometimes couldn't walk until I went to bed that night. It felt like I pulled a  muscle in my uterus. After texting Scott a couple of time, sure I was dying, he told me to call the doctor. After speaking with the nurse, she assured me its probably just the ligaments streatching and not to worry unless I have cramping and bleeping. Made me feel better emotionally, not physically.

A great thing that did come from all of this "stretching" was movement. I could now feel baby moving inside me, there was no doubt about that. Sometime midway through the day baby was really active so for kicks (haha, see what I did there) I put my hand on my belly to see of I could feel anything. Sure enough, I could feel the rolling of my baby from the outside! Scott was also able to feel baby this same night, pretty cool! By the next day I was back to normal, no pain at all and still feeling my active little baby!

Along with with baby moving inside me, my belly has also moved on up (all the stretching)! As you can see in the picture below, I really haven't gotten any bigger but belly is much higher!

We are so excited for the months to come, and more movements from Baby Bozzo! 20 week appointment is tomorrow where will will confirm the baby's sex and announce to family on Thanksgiving!

Boston/Hartford Mini Trip

Scott and I had a great weekend last weekend! Scott had to fly to Hartford, CT for business on Monday, so we though it would be a good idea for me to tag along and make a mini vacation out of it to visit Boston again. We picked a great weekend to go since Brian was staying with Ashley and Jono's, we got to spend time with him too!

That weekend was the Boston College and Notre Dame football game so Saturday was a really fun day spent at Ashley and Jono's apartment tailgating with their friends! Sports was on TV all day and people were mingling having a great time! Ashley and Jono were GREAT hosts!

Saturday night we went to dinner with Jenny and Brandon since last time we didn't get to hang out with her much! They took us to a Italian restaurant that offered gluten free options for Scott. Jenny and Brandon were very gracious to let us crash at their place that night since Ashley & Jono had a full house and late night with the football game going on.

Sunday Afternoon we picked up the rental car and drove to Hartford. Monday Scott went into the office so I took the day to relax and take a stroll through downtown Hartford. Scott's coworkers were gracious enough to invite me to lunch and recommended I walk to Bushnell Park, apparently designed by the same person who designed Central Park in New York! It was a beautiful day so thats exactly what I did. The Fall colors were absolutely beautiful!

As our trip grew to an end, we were happy to be headed home. Tuesday we flew out of Hartford at 6:00AM and while at the airport we realized we didn't have our car keys for the car left at the airport in Sacramento. This story is long enough for its own blog post so I'm not going to go into details, but thankfully Scott's grandma lives in Sacramento so we were able to use her car to drive around and figure out how to get back into our house and pick up our car.

We picked Abby up around 5:00PM from Brittany's house in Stockton and headed home to get some sleep! We were so thankful for Brittany watching Abby for us and tiring her out.

Overall our vacation was a great one! We loved seeing family and friends and making great memories with them!

Halloween

Halloween at our house was pretty uneventful this year! We had a busy week last week, so Scott and I decided to stay in, lock the door, turn off the lights and relax. It was GREAT!

Not answering the door did not stop me from dressing Abby up for the costume holiday though. About a month ago I found a Monkey costume at Pets Mart and I knew Abby would be so cute in it. I mean, she is my little monkey! Though I thought she looked SO cute, Abby hated it. I had to give her treats just to get her to sit long enough for me to take a picture. If you have ever met Abby, you know she's a little over dramatic.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! Can't wait to dress up Abby and Baby next year!!!
