26 to 33 Weeks with Baby Adison Emily

These last 6 weeks may take forever! The beginning of this pregnancy was pretty easy, but the end is seeming to be a bit challenging. I try my best not to complain much, I'm so grateful to be carrying this little girl, but this pregnancy is taking its tole on my body.

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes around 28 weeks pregnant and have been checking my sugars levels daily since then. So far I am diet controlled so no meds... at least not yet. I've been continuing to see my chiropractor to help with my pelvic alignment and SPD (Symphysis Pubic Disfunction) which I had with Jase but not nearly this bad and we can recently add leg cramps to the mix. I'm currently limping form a bad one I had Monday morning, pretty sure Scott though I was in labor from my screams.. oops. Thats what happens when you're really pregnant and wake up with a cramp and can't move fast enough to rub it!

Other then that, Adison is an active and healthy baby. She's currently breech, so she's also a little stubborn. Any ideas on getting her to flip you are welcome to share. For me the sooner the better so I can breath easier (literally). I have started weekly stress tests and will do those until birth and we are seeing the regulate OB 2 times monthly which will go to weekly here soon. So we are at the doctor a lot lately.

So even with all the uncomfortableness baby is doing great and I am grateful for that! Just gotta get through 6 more weeks or sooner, I'd be OK with a little sooner!

Jase and Abby wanted a picture and then  neither looked!

We missed 32 weeks... as you can see!

Baby Adison's Baby Sprinkle

I know I've said this before, but our family is very blessed to have amazing family and friends. My sister in law, Melissa and two good friends, Brittany and Monica, threw a beautiful Baby Sprinkle for me and baby Adison, I think it's great that we got to celebrate Adison's upcoming arrival like we did with Jase.

The Sprinkle was at my mother in laws house, there was a headband making station, a space to decorate onesies and bibs and yummy treats to be enjoyed. The weather turned out to be a pretty nice 94 degrees, considering it was 104 degrees the day before. The girls did an amazing job on the decor and food. I know I've said it before, but I have some pretty talented friends. It's always so nice to be able to visit with people I'm not able to see in person often and I had a really great time.

Scott and I are so thankful for everything that has been done for us up to this point to celebrate the new life that will be joining our family soon.

Melissa's Baby Shower

Last Saturday myself and Melissa's friend, Nicole, hosted a Baby Shower with the help from my mother in law. It was a perfect day for a baby shower, not too hot, slight breeze, great food and company. The shower was at Campagina in Fresno on the outdoor patio; food was great and the staff was wonderful to work with.

Along with Melissa's input, we chose and Shabby Chic Vintage Story Book Theme and I couldn't be more please with how everything turned out. The patio at Campagina was a perfect backdrop for the decor we had with hints of burlap and lace and vintage storybooks through out. During the shower guests decorated baby blocks for baby Emilia and played a nursery rhyme game.

Cupcakes were done by Simply Sweet in three flavors: Chocolate, Red Velvet and Salted Caramel, All of which were delicious. I know this because Monica, Brittany and I spit all three, yea, we're smart! The favors were bags of Kettle Corn from Scott Barnes Kettle Corn and we're a hit, as always!! Scott and his wife Rachel also own Central Valley Storks and we were able to use a small sign that said "The Shower is Here"! If anyone is Fresno needs any of these things for showers or party's, click the links and that should take you to the right place, or ask me and I'll get you in contact with the right person!

Can I just say how thankful I am for Pinterest, Hobby Lobby and knowing crafty friends?! I had so much fun putting little details together for this shower! Here are some pictures from the day. Things that were made: Baby Banner, Letter "B", Flower Vases with burlap and Lace (thanks to Nicole), Tissue Garland, Sign in Sheet and Glitter Name sign (thanks to my talented friend Becci). Along with the decor I decided to make baby Emilia a bow holder and some headbands/bows to start her out with along with her first tutus. Making baby girl stuff is addicting...

Also, if you're in need flowers go to Trader Joe's! The hydrangeas we got were perfect and so affordable! Thanks to my friends Kristen and Ali for the tip to go there!

I'd say the shower was a success and so much fun to put together! Thanks to everyone who helped out.
