DISNEYLAND

Last weekend my mom, dad, Scott and I took Jase to Disneyland for the first time. Scott and I used to go every year, but missed the last two years due to life being a little crazy. Hopefully we're back on track to our yearly visits (I'd even settle for every two years).

None of us knew what to expect with a 17 month old, but Jase did pretty well. We won't discuss the lack of sleep at night, though, that's a different story. We broke the parks up into two days, starting with Disneyland on Friday. We stayed on Jase time, so we weren't out the door super early but at least we were there in the morning! Jase did manage to sleep through his very first ride, Peter Pan, I blame the long line.
When Jase napped the boys took advantage and went on rides together and my mom and I shopped. When Jase was awake he went on lots of rides including: Winnie the Pooh, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and It's a Small World. He seemed to love all the rides he went on minus the part in Pirates where you get a little wet. For the kid who likes to be sprayed in the face with water, I don't quite understand that one! We ended the day at Disneyland with meeting Mickey. Jase LOVED Mikey. He was so excited and giggly, it was an awesome experience and so worth waiting for.

Saturday we went to California. Jase once again fell asleep as soon as we got in the park. Once again the boys went on rides and the girls (and Jase) shopped. I think Jase knew what to expect a little more this day as I feel he seemed more excited for rides. It also helped that there are lots of places to let him out of the stroller where he wouldn't get clobbered by people. Jase loved most of the rides here as well. Little Mermaid was a hit as well as the Caterpillar ride in Bugs Land. He wasn't a fan of the Carrousel. Once again Jase LOVED meeting characters. He was so excited OBSESSED with the bug from It's a Bugs Life. My mom had to literally hold him back from photo bombing other peoples pictures! We also got to meet The Incredibles. He liked them, but was scared of Mr. Incredible.

Over all the trip was a success, minus the nights and the car rides. You win some, You lose some!

Thank you so much to my parents for taking us and spoiling all of us while we were there.

Hopefully one day he'll wear it!
