Disneyland

In early August we went to Disneyland and California Adventure with Scotts parents, this was Jase's second trip there and I think he loved it just as much as the first time. We stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel and our room was upgraded due to it being my birthday week which was nice. We got a view of California Adventure from our room and Jase was pretty obsessed with seeing the Farris wheel.

The day we got there we just explored Downtown Disney a bit and Jase got to build his very own car. After much walking around the store he settled on Finn McMissle from Cars2. That night we ate at the Rainforest Cafe and then watched the World of Color from our room.

The first Park Day we choose to tackle Disneyland since it was our only full day there. We got there shortly after they opened and stayed until just after the light parade. I think Jases favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride (he rode it about 3 or 4 times that day). He also seemed to like Jungle Cruise as well.

The last day we went to California Adventure and Jase was super excited to see Lightning McQueen and possibly a little starstruck! He loved a lot of the rides at California and was super excited to be on the Farris Wheel finally. I think his favorite ride here was Monsters Inc. We rode that many times. He also loved the Parade here and liked being splashed with water.

Both parks he wasn't too crazy about seeing the characters this year. Last year he was obsessed. Much more stand offish this time. He did like seeing Mickey, but when Minnie tried to step in he got a little upset.

Overall we all had a great time! We hope to be able to keep going often to Disneyland so Jase loves it as much as we do!

21 to 25 Weeks with Baby Girl

Officially 15 weeks to go, well now a little less, but basically!

Since my last post  I have had some fun pregnancy symptoms pop up. Apparently "morning sickness" can start at anytime. I thought maybe I had the stomach flu a couple weeks ago, but since I have felt the same way a few more times at very random and un-predictable times. I'm going to say this is related to pregnancy somehow or possible and issue with dairy (hopefully just milk and not cheese.... I LOVE CHEESE). Thankfully I can feel it coming on now and I try to do my best to avoid actually vomiting, but still not fun.

We also found out that baby girl is a strong one. Due to the sickness I'd been having and it being accompanied by some Braxton Hicks my doctor wanted me to go into Labor and Delivery to be monitored one day. Everything looked great with baby girl and I just has a small UTI which was most likely causing the Braxton Hicks to be more frequent. I don't remember having any with Jase, or I didn't know what they were! Heck, I didn't even know I was contracting when I checked in for my induction with Jase, lol, but I definitely know what they are now, ha!

I've also started to see a chiropractor after having my tail bone pain flair up (to see what happened there you can read my birth story of Jase here). I found, after seeing the chiropractor, that my pelvis is out of whack as well and we're working on getting that back in place or close to it before delivery. It's funny because I have, what I always considered hip pain, for many years, but nothing I thought was bad enough to tell a doctor. That hip pain was actually due to my pelvis being out of whack, the fun things you learn when pregnant! Sort of glad my tail bone pain flared and now I can get my pelvis fixed and my tail bone pain is essentially gone since the first adjustment!

Baby Girl is still nameless. I really thought we were going to have her named by now since we knew Jases' name before we knew he was a boy and Timothy was easy to name as well, but alas Scott and I are polar opposite on names and can't agree on anything at the moment. I, personally, cannot wait until she born, that will send me into an anxiety attack, lol. I'm way too much of a planner and NOT good and quick decision making when it's something like this! Kudos to those who are more relaxed then I with this stuff!

Thats whats been up with pregnancy over the last couple of weeks! This pregnancy is going by so quick! We will start putting the nursery together in the next couple weeks slowly and I am working on some crafty stuff to go in there. I'm also lucky that I know other crafty people and have some friends making some pretty cool stuff for baby girl as well, which I am SUPER excited to see when finished!

We are truly blessed and I am soaking in all this pregnancy has to give. I won't say I'm happy for the sickness, the UTI or the pelvic/tailbone pain, but these are things that come with the territory of being pregnant and I know I'm blessed I get to carry this baby. I still think this pregnancy has been great and these things are so minuscule to the overall picture. I'm also pretty excited to say that my meat intake is better. I've added in steak bones and surrounding meat and beef ribs back into my diet! I was also able to eat In N Out once! Woohoo for progress there!

Here are some bump pictures. We missed some weeks because of travel but you can still see the progress!

I need to plan my shirt taking pictures better...

Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Feeding the Geese and Ducks

Over Father's Day weekend we went to fresno to celebrate with the dads. Jase and I headed down earlier in the week so we decided to fit in a Zoo day with both of the Grandmas. Our Zoo, here in Lodi, is actually pretty cool and perfect size for Jase right now, but it was really nice to show Jase some of the bigger animals in person.

I already knew Jase was a big Zoo fan as he's a lover of animals, but every time I see him excited to see a animal up close I get all warm feeling inside (or maybe that was the Fresno heat this time!). I'm not sure I could tell you what his favorite animal was at the Fresno Zoo, but I think his top three would be the Elephant, Giraffe (he got to feed them) and the Tiger. I really enjoyed the Sea Lion exhibit, possibly because at the end they had fans blowing and lets be real, it was freaking hot outside!!! I feel really fortunate to have both my Mom and Mother in Law so active in Jases' life and to be able to do these things together! I know when Jase is older he will like to see these fun activities he did with both his grandparents together!

One morning we also walked to Woodward Park and feed the Ducks and Geese... and Jase. He had fun sharing a piece of bread with the ducks and geese and Abby had fun trying to find squirrels!

Here are some pictures of our Zoo and Duck/goose feeding fun.

Baby Number THREE... It's a GIRL

Never, Never, Never did I think Scott and my journey to have kids would be filled with so much ups and downs. You can really find out a lot about yourself and spouse going through hard times. You can see yourself and your spouse at their best and worst and over the last year we've definitely seen both in each other.

After we lost Timothy Scott and I decided that once we were cleared to get pregnant again we would leave it up to Gods will. We weren't going to go on birth control and we also weren't going to try and get pregnant. I know, I didn't know when I'd be ready, really all I wanted was my Timothy back and to be pregnant with him again. Our hearts just weren't ready to make such a big decision, so we left that decision to the man upstairs. When our hearts were ready we trusted he'd bless us... and that he did! The months after losing Timothy were the most consistent cycles I've ever had not being on birth control and a breath fresh air to not have to worry that my body wasn't working. I think this really helped me be relaxed and trust God.

A couple days after Valentines Day I was officially late based on my last couple of cycles so I thought I'd take a test. There they were, TWO PINK LINES, clear as day. If you've every tested positive for pregnancy I think you know that feeling of full on excitement. I personally, get a little shaky, stare at the test a million times and wonder if it could really be true. Then comes the fear, this time this fear was much different then the last two pregnancies, it was much more real. I know the very real possibility of loosing a baby and that feeling took over, very quickly. I started to wonder if this baby would be OK, when would I know or feel comfortable that this baby was a baby I would meet breathing and crying. The truth is I probably won't ever fully let go of the unknowns. I think even when you have a healthy pregnancy and have never experience loss, you still have a little wonder about the unknown. What I decided to do then was place it all in God's hands, once again, this is not in my control. Thought these weeks/months of pregnancy I have definitely had worry, I won't lie and say I haven't, but I've also had a peace along with it. God gave me another baby and I want to enjoy this pregnancy as much as I possibly can. So far, I think I'm doing OK with that.

So onto pregnancy. This one has been A LOT different then the last two. With Jase I was nauseous all day and gaggy at many smells for a good month, I'd say. Then that eased up to some times being nauseous and then around 12/13 weeks I was pretty much back to eating normal foods (minus chicken, In & Out and Chipotle). I also never really had cravings with Jase )except that one time I wanted a slushy). With Timothy I was only nauseous a handful of times and mostly just tired. Still not really any cravings and again not eating chicken, In & Out or Chipotle). This time I have rarely been nauseous, I could eat a donut (or two) daily if I had the choice and am avoiding most meat like the plague. I have only gagged twice (once from a migraine and another time from licking the seal to an envelope, both could have totally not been related to pregnancy at all!) and yet again not eating In & Out, Chipotle and most meats along with chicken. My main symptom this pregnancy has be tiredness. I am now on two additional iron supplements which seems to be keeping my anemia at bay and also helps me feel like I can function. Basically this pregnancy has been the easiest one I've had. This little girl is being so nice to me.

We've been really blessed this time around to be seeing a high risk doctor as well as my regular OBGYN. We've had four five (five because baby was hiding at one appointment and cause a little scare) ultrasounds so far to check on baby and so far everything looks healthy and well. We did find my placenta is anterior (causes no issues with pregnancy) so I didn't start feeling kicks until around 18 weeks. (I felt kicks with Jase at 16 weeks). I was very happy to know the placenta is FAR away from my cervix so no Placenta Previa this time. WooHoo!

We are feeling VERY blessed to be able to be pregnant again and can't wait to meet this special little girl. Enjoy some pictures from our journey so far below :-).
