Jase Turns ONE!

Well, I guess we don't technically have a baby anymore! Jase turned ONE on Friday the 4th. I can not believe how quickly this last year went by. Jase has been such a blessing for Scott and I. He brings us so much joy and has taught us how strong we really are! I can finally say we kept a child alive for a year! YAY!

Jase is 21 pounds, 29 inches tall and has 6 teeth! He stands, crawls, talks baby talk and says some words! He is not walking yet, but I'm sure thats in the very near future.

We celebrated his birthday on the 5th at Scott's parents house with family and friends. It turned out to be a great day with some sunshine, clouds and perfect weather. We are so thankful for great family and friends who helped us celebrate and so thankful for the ones who travel to join us! Sadly, we didn't get pictures of everyone there, but thanks to my sister and brother in law we got some great photos to document the day!

Thanks to our parents as well for helping out!

Jase: 11 Months

Less then a month and we will have a toddler! Jase is learning and growing every day! We finally got a good day to take some pictures for his 11 month shoot. These mini photo shoots are becoming so much harder to take, I have about a 5 minute time frame to try and get a smile. Well today Jase was cooperating and I was able to get some good pictures with smiles and him looking at the camera!

Jase is all over the place it seems these days. He crawls so quick, climbing on things, using toys to help him get higher, walking while holding onto furniture or mom or dad (though if we try to help him he just sits, this boy likes to do things on his own!), he says mama now in relation to me and said dada in relation to Scott the other day (before he would just babble those words with no association), says Ab-beh (Abby), loves playing with Abby, loves going on walks and being outside, his favorite show is by far Dora (he's drawn to the TV when it's on), loves to face-time with his grandparents, he's a great eater and starting with some whole milk and so much more! We are LOVING this age.

Off to Grandma's House We Went

Thank goodness for Holiday weekends! Scott took off Friday so we could driving to my moms for the weekend and spend some time at the coast. Originally I was going to make the drive with just Jase and Abby, but we were happy Scott got to join us!

I always love to going to the coast, of course to see my mom, but as a bonus we get to spend some times with friends too! On Saturday morning I met Dana, Lucy and Ben at Avila Farm while the boys went golfing. Lucy had fun showing us how to feed the animals, Jase had fun watching Lucy and Ben was loving trying to stay awake in the Ergo! We had a great time!

We also got to spend some time with Courtney this trip! Courtney, my mom, Jase and I went to downtown Arroyo Grande to walk around and then met my dad and Scott for lunch!

Jase had some fun one morning playing with Grandpa. My dad showed him around the yard and even Abby joined the fun!

My mom and Jase had some fun chit chatting and it seems my mom is pretty funny.

We had a BEAUTIFUL sunset one night and I was able to capture it.

Uncle Mark and Auntie Melissa were in Cambria that weekend and drove down to see Jase

We had a great little getaway, stay tuned...

Jase: 10 Months

Oh my, Jase is two months away from ONE!!! How on earth has this happened so fast?! I am currently working on his first birthday party and somehow I just still can't wrap my mind around his turning ONE. He is currently wearing 12 month size clothes and quickly growing out of them. He is crawling fast, pulling up, standing on furniture and letting go already! He loves going on walks and is still addicted to puffs. Along with his diet of puffs, he enjoys eating whatever mommy or daddy has on their plate, his favorite being eggs.

Since we LOVE this little boy so much, I decided to do his 10 month pictures in a Valentine theme!

Still obsessed with ceiling fans!

Super Bowl

I love the tradition we have getting together every year with great friends for the Super Bowl. It's a tradition I hope continues through the years no matter how busy we all get. We did miss some people this year, but I forgive them ;-).

Even though the game and commercials were not that entertaining, we enjoyed time spent with friends. As always, the food was yummy. Well everything except the cornbread (according to Chris), I think he's crazy though! Just kidding, maybe.

New Years Lake Trip

I am way behind, so there are going to be a couple "new" posts popping up tonight and possibly tomorrow.

Usually we see Scotts cousins over Thanksgiving or Christmas, but with how busy everyone was that didn't happen so we met them at the Lake after New Years. We had a relaxing weekend just hanging out.
